Playing a musical instrument is a technical craft and an art of expressing one's skill. Expressing music, by contrast, has been viewed as an art .It is the craft of musical communication. It is possible to be very good at playing a musical instrument skillfully, for the work of presenting accurately realizing the musical notation yet they have little skill at the craft of communication. This way of playing the musical instrument accurately increases musical score and still has a high degree in communicating music. Most of the great musicians were highly skilled in both crafts. The cognitive or communication techniques are designed to enhance the musical communication rather than act as a replacement for being musical. Being music is a spiritual quality, the musician who is spiritual, reveals this reality sharply.
There are two kinds of music ,those meant to be heard and music intended to be listened in a sensible manner. There are cognitive techniques apply only to the music , which is forced to be listened to in the same way that human speech is listened. For such kind of music, which is only to be heard these techniques are unnecessary. If these techniques are employed in the performance, the hearer's enjoyment towards the music is enhanced.

I would like to ask something to people out there; Did any one know that music was one reason that led to the discovery of "telephone". For centuries man dreamed of capturing the sounds and music of his environment. Many attempted it but no one succeeded until Thomas Alva Edison a method of recording and playing it back which ultimately led to the discovery of the most useful mode of communication - telephone. This way, music has contributed its use in science. There was music even before people were there to listen to it. Wind whistled, and oceans crashed in a steady rhythm. As you know, man is always curious and probably people have made music since their earliest days on earth too. Maybe the first human music imitated the sounds of nature. Also humans created songs by imitation of sounds of other creatures. Gradually, when man found words, he used them to create songs.
At the early times when there were no instruments to play with, only hunting instruments and hallowed bones were used as flutes were found that date back to 65000 BC. In course of time, music was divided as per the people's culture, from western to rap. Archaeologists have found that many ancient civilization played music including Egypt and Babylonia. Since early music was not written down, the early music is in the form of pictures showing musicians and musical instruments. Evidence of written music was found in the later BC years.

Music has had a long way of traveling, from the early classical to today's rap. Music has evolved in style and composition over the ages, which resulted in many music types and forms. The formation of different cultures led to the evolution of different music and musical instruments that made a mark in the human history. Music is an ocean and finding a particular fish is really hard. It is impossible to put down so many types of music. These are just a few popular ones which the world has so far discovered. The basic division are into TRANCE MUSIC, INSTRUMENTAL, HIP-HOP MUSIC, CLASSICAL & LATIN. The most energetic and lively music among youngsters of this generation is HEAVY METAL and HARD ROCK. So, the various forms of music have their own way of reaching to their category of audiences. Music is nothing but a tool without wordings. It's the outcome of emotions. Nowadays, youngsters have started their own band to create their own music and there are a lot of successful bands so far. Its funny to know that one of the bands wrote lyrics about the 3rd world war and due to this they had a tiff with the government and that is one reason they are liked by many too. So it shows how the present generation takes up the music form of heavy metal. People go gaga when it comes to rap and metal bands.
There are many ways for the people to express their feelings but doing it through music is a good way because it is heard by a lot of people. Music has been used to express people's views for a long time and it still is today. Today, with technology, musicians are able to be heard all over the world and have a bigger impact than ever before. However, the traditional folk music, jazz and the magic they create with the saxophone, the blues which sings the song of heart and tribal music that comes straight from the jungles are some of the other music types that one must never miss. Music will continue to evolve and remain as an integral part of human evolution.

Many types of music, such as traditional blues and folk music were originally preserved in the memory of performers, and the songs were handed down orally, or aurally (by ear). When the composer of music is no longer known, this music is often classified as "traditional". Different musical traditions have different attitudes towards how and where to make changes to the original source material, from quite strict, to those which demand improvisation or modification to the music. A culture's history may also be passed by ear through song.
  Music is composed and performed for many purposes, ranging from aesthetic pleasure, religious or ceremonial purposes, or as an entertainment product for the marketplace. Musicians compose and perform music for also their own pleasure, and they do not derive them for their income from music, they are also employed by a range of institutions and organizations, including armed forces, churches and synagogues, symphony orchestras, broadcasting or film production companies, and music schools. Musicians sometimes work as freelancers, seeking contracts and engagements in a variety of settings. They also make our environment a pleasant one and an apt one for our working place.

Musical Mysteries

Music can be defined as a communicative activity that tells us the listener's mood, emotion and thoughts. Music can be best experienced in two ways - hearing and listening. Hearers do not concentrate on what is the actual structure of music but concentrate on the tone, melody, composer, etc. On the other hand listeners observe the form and structure of music. Listeners are the ones who learn music from the basics, which can be manipulated or concatenated forming a new music. Some of the greatest musicians of all times gave their best to create a place for them in history.
Basically, to discuss about music we need to know some of the musical terms such as tone, rhythm, harmony, pitch, melody etc. Mostly, all tunes have at least one or all of these terms to form a pleasant or unpleasant sound called as music. Feelings and sounds are related in a way that feelings are composed of emotions. For example, a touch generates a stimuli but emotions cant be triggered quite naturally. It's a strong sensation that is felt or related only to a particular stimulus and that is often felt when we listen to music. So its the outcome of emotion that a man cannot show out but can feel it when heard. Even though there are different kinds of musical instruments now, "THE BEST MUSIC IS HEARD ONLY FROM THE DEEPEST FEELINGS WITHIN".
